Life is too short

Younger brother's friend's dad was found out to have liver cancer.

Simon asked me what if someone had liver cancer, were they going to die?

I said, I am sorry to hear that,and yes, it is a really bad thing happened to anyone.

 

Then I called J, said I was shocked by the news that someone had cancer without any sign.

J said ok, told him to visit the doctor.

And then nothing else.

 

I was not satisfied with the answer. I was not happy because a person is going to die, whether he or she is going to hospital doesnot matter any more. That was not the answer I am looking for. I am looking for someone to share the meaning of life with me.

 

And J said nothing and just kept silence as usual.

 

I cant stand the silence, so I asked what J was doing.

 

And the usual answer, J was having dinner with someone which I dont like it.
